A San Fran Treat For Sure

Can anyone say cupcake?? What better than a birthday weekend than ending up at a gourmet cupcake store in San Fran. And the entire weekend ended up being about food. (Teigan-I should have just cut and pasted your blog). Paul and I get tickets for the Giants once in awhile so we always get excited about a get away and this time Tay and Teig were in the area while Tay was interviewing for Law School so it was perfect timing.
Of course we made our usual In-N-Out stop (sorry I blog so much about it)
It was a chilly but beautiful night at the Giants game.
Teigan introduced me to a new sweet: popcorn wrapped in cotton candy (that much sugar and salt...yummy).
It was a fabulous birthday weekend-thanks Benson's for joining us!!!

Courtney's 27th Birthday!!!

I had planned to go to lunch and a movie with my mom and a few friends on my birthday but my mother had my friend Susan Napier send out an email announcing it was my birthday. (Way embarassing) So there was about 12 of us at lunch and 6 of us at the movie we saw Emma Smith movie and it was an incredible story. I do not reccommend watching it with make up on or while you are pregnant-I poured my eyes out. Emma was such an amazing person. The day was hit thank you to all those who came, called or dropped by!!!

My sister sent me the cutest apron and gloves among other crafty things and my older brother manufacturers ice cream and he shipped me ice cream in the mail something I have wanted for some time now. You can only imagine my face when I got the package and the label read "contains ice cream" I was estatic!!! My mom treated me to a wonderful facial and Paul and I were heading out on Friday for a quick trip to San Fran so everything was so fabulous.

It started with fried ice cream...

I love making fried ice cream and I wanted to perfect my recipe so I finally did it and bought a deep fryer. And this past weekend I went to a kitchen store and they sold Bavarian Cream in the bag fulls and being pregnant I had to get one. So I made Boston Creme donuts the other night (10 at nite to be exact) way healthy!!! But the frosting needed a little work so there will be more to come in the future.

Memorial Day

It was Sunday afternoon and we really didn't have any plans for the holiday so we decided to load up and go to St. George. Main reason: In-N-Out had finally opened and as most know we are obsessed:) I was looking for great place for kids to swim and found it online- the Sand Hallow Aquatic Center. It was all indoors with slides and play areas for the little munchkins, Logan loved it but it echoed inside so he thought it was a bit loud.

A day with Thomas

Logan has become obsessed with Thomas lately so we headed to Heber City where they turned the Heber Creeper into Thomas for the weekend. We rode Thomas the train for 15 mins and then checked out all the different booths: dressed up characters, petting zoo, lego trains and of course the gift shop. Logan batted his eyes and got Grandpa and Grandma to buy him a Thomas Train set. Cute little Thomas guru!!!
Checking out the sites on an outside train cart.
Logan likes the green train as well so he was thrilled to find Percy on a poster.

First Trip to Hogle Zoo

It was both Logan and I's first time to the Hogle Zoo and it was a hit. The hills were a bit of challenge for Paul but he was a trooper. Logan loved the monkeys, penguins, sleeping tiger, elephants and the mommy and baby giraffe. But his favorite had to be the little train ride!!!

My 27th Birthday!!!

I had planned with my mom and a few friends to go to lunch and movie on my birthday but (and so embarrassing) my mom had my friend Susan sent out an email announcing my birthday and inviting more people to the mini event. So I was surprised when there was 12 of us at lunch and they all were wishing me a happy birthday. We had a great time at lunch and then we saw the Emma Smith movie which was an incredible story-Emma was such an amazing person. I do not recommend seeing the movie while pregnant or while wearing make-up I poured my eyes out.

My sister sent me the cutest apron and get this- cleaning gloves ( I can be way cute cleaning the toilet or washing the dishes) she gave me many crafty cute things. My older brother manufacturers ice cream so he mailed me some on dry ice it arrived perfectly and you can only imagine my face when I received the package with the label reading "contents: ice cream" I was ecstatic. The amazing thing is its actually full of protein and only 128 calories a pint-yeah for me. My mom treated me to facial and Paul and I are heading out Friday for a quick trip to San Fran-it has been a fabulous week.

M.I.A.

Sorry to those who check my blog hoping to get an update-and got nothing for months. So i have finally caught up from March. Now its May and I have three or less months to go with the pregnancy the doctor says its looks like I am a few weeks a head of schedule and potentially can go early again-he thinks I cook my babies in a microwave rather than an oven-a little early is ok just not 6 weeks:)

Baby Shower

My friend Tammy and I threw a Baby Shower for our friend Carrie this past Saturday and we had a good time planning, decorating and making food. The shower was a fun gathering filled with food and friends. I had been wanting to make one of those fabric banners I had been seeing on websites and at boutiques so I finally had an excuse to do so:

Some of the grub:
You all need to check out my sister's blog she is the Queen of entertaining: http://www.mostlikelylate.blogspot.com/ or http://www.dwelling6.blogspot.com/
I tried to make my sisters lemonade but I forgot to brew the basil leaves-but it still tasted good!
Party favors: Motherhood Survival Kits
Sorry there are no people in the pictures-I didn't get the group picture on this camera and the pictures I did get were not the most flattering of us pregnant ladies. (i'm now 6 months prego)

Logan loves Discovery

So after Paul and I went to Vegas we took the following Monday off (March 20th or so) so we could spend time with Logan so we went to the Discovery at the Gateway and it was daddy's first time!!! and then Daddy and Logan when again on a playdate with Nathan and little Sydney on May 3rd so I figured I'd combine the pictures. p.s. daddy loves his jazz!

Sand Dunes

Logan kept calling the motorhome "the bus, lets go on the bus"

We like to take short trips once in a while and in April we did a little 2 day trip to the sand dunes. We are members of Toyshare where we can use our points for 4-wheelers, motorhomes, waverunners, snowmobiles and more-so far it has been a wonderful experience. Since I am 6 months pregnant I couldn't be the daredevil I usually am so I layed low and just hung out. Logan had a blast and if asked he would say "I went on a big hill." Our buddies the Burghardts also went with us and Nathan and Logan got pretty dirty in the sand-the first thing we did when we got home was bath them and clean them up.

It was Jazz night at the Belchers and everyone brought their boys...

1st Movie

Logan sat through his first movie Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who- He did great especially with his bucket of popcorn. His first movie as a baby was Mission Impossible III and he slept through the action packed movie which was amazing.

Crane Expo in Vegas

Week of March 15. This big event takes place every 3 years in the U.S. the other years it is in Asia and Europe so we were so excited to find out it would be in Vegas. We booked our hotels a year in advance-talk about planning (so unlike the Belchers) and here we are amidst this crazy convention. The machines were gigantic and we have one of our new cranes displayed-we were so proud. I was so lucky that I got to entertain the Wennsheimers our good friends from Michigan so I got to have all the fun-day spa, shopping and the Beatles "Love" show which was amazing.

Vendors who wanted our business took us out so we never had to pay for a meal-the first night I came to town was Wednesday and we went to the Wynn's upidy Tableau resturant for dinner. I had some surf and turf and then the coolest dessert ever-a sampling of pies-I thought it was so cool because they came out as mini pies. Then the next night we had Benihana's and I feel like I should become a vegetarian because I don't think I can eat another steak. But of course when we go to a famous Steak House the next night what do I order but another Filet-yikes! So that night I wasn't feeling so hot or at least the little baby in my belly was like WHAT ARE YOU EATING??? So many rich flavors and sauces...it got to me and I was down for the count Friday night and all of Saturday-so I flew home instead of driving home with Paul. My doctor said it was all the unusual food I had been eating-oops. Besides the bad ending we had a fabulous time-I missed out on seeing everyone on Saturday (we had booked out a flight from Salt Lake to Vegas with employees and customers to go for the day-)we all had matching shirts and all.

My little brother is HOME

Cute boy cousins:
Logan and Beckham look alikes?

I can not believe how 2 years just flew by-it was 2 years ago that Logan had his baby blessing because my family was in town to see my brother off at the MTC. And here we are and he is already back from his mission in Atlanta, GA. Both my sister and older brother who still live in California were both able to make it up to Utah to see Skyler (Elder Blood) arrive home safely. We were thrilled to see him and had balloons and all the fam ready at the airport-he came down the escalator and I totally cried in excitment (I blame it on the pregnancy emotions) or maybe I just felt bad for not writing him enough? Anyways it was a fabulous reunion. It was fast Sunday that week so he bore his testimony at church, we then had his buddies and old mission companions over for a mini homecoming-he officially gets to talk in church on Easter Sunday. We had a wonderful time reminicing and playing games-we also helped him get set up with new clothes and room stuff as he will be attending BYU this Spring semester. He will enter as a Junior because he was quite ambitious before his mission and graduated High School early and got his Associates before his mission. On top of that he entered the mission field 3 weeks prior to his 19th birthday so finally today March 13th he turned 21. Happy Birthday little bro.
