Paul and his dad working hard on the property- Paul loves his big toys-

Uncle Devan and Logan playing in Heber.
Little man checking out the terrain.

Saturday we went up again to the Heber property but this time with some help and we certainly got a lot done. Before pictures:

After pictures:

Em and Logan at Hogle Zoo

Emily flew to India last Saturday to help children learn English for next 2 weeks-so before she left she took Logan to Hogle Zoo and they had a fabulous time.

Logan's favorite part-(nevermind the animals ) its the choo choo train.

A day down town

Last Tuesday Logan and I went to Discovery with Danielle Hoskin, Dezi (Danielle's sister), Ryker and Afton. We decided to take tracks downtown because the boys love trains!!!

Being boys-

There were some funny characters on tracks on the way home-too bad I didn't take some pictures. On the ride home we were all exhausted!!!

Heber Property

After the BBQ we spent the night in Park City and headed to Heber the next day to go 4 wheeling and to do some land clearing. The Heber property has been in the Belcher family since 1964 and after Grandpa Belcher died Paul's dad bought an additional 12 acres to add to the other 20 acres. So Paul helped chain saw some dead trees down and clear a path for our future camping site. We are excited to improve our little area we will be heading up over the next few weekends. THe Heber property is amazing it has a creek that runs through it, it has a baksetball court, volleyball court, cooking area, 4 wheeling trails, swingset, wildlife and camping sites with tables and benches. It is great for families and little kids.

Small company BBQ?

We had some important people come to town for business and Paul wanted to entertain them a bit more personally rather than taking them out to dinner-so we planned a BBQ at Paul's dad's house in Park City. The date and number of people kept changing on me so it was a bit confusing but it ended up being the day after Enrichment (Friday) and it was for 20 people.

The menu: Appetizers-My mom's famous vegee basket, red pepper artichoke dip, apricot Bree cracker dip...
Entrees-Skirt steak in a soy sauce marinade, steaks with blue cheese butter and chicken with a mango cucumber salsa
Sides-Salad, rolls, grilled asparagus and fruit
Dessert-brownies with chocolate mousse, and thank you Marie Calenders: razzleberry pie, German chocolate pie, banana cream pie and my favorite key lime pie.

Food turned out wonderful thank goodness and much thanks to my kitchen assistant Emily!!!

Logan and Kayan had fun running all over and jumping on the tramp-and Grandpa has goats and a miniature donkey to entertain them as well.

For Enrichment we helped the Humanitarian Center by tying quilts, sanding and painting wooden blocks and also coloring educational kits. It was a great because we got to socialize and eat treats during the whole time.

Music Class at Discovery

I have heard many great things about music classes for young kids so I have been wanting to take Logan to Discovery at Gateways class and we finally made it. I was a bit disappointed because I was invisioning playing with musical instruments and all but it was a little like nursery at church-we sang songs, danced with scarves and played with a paracute-but of course Logan loved every part of it.

Afterwards we went to the Gateway Fountain so Logan could run around in the water-he was a bit scared and would hang out a little farther away.

Double Date

Most of you have heard about our fabulous nanny Emily who has worked for us since Paul's accident 3 years ago and it just happened that Dano (Daniel Gunderson) is living in Provo going to BYU so we thought we would set them up on a date. Dano is 1 of the 4 Gunderson kids whom I nannied for when I was 12 to 18-so he's pretty much family. So we took them to Five Alls a five course meal restaurant with a fun atmosphere and pretty good food. We then went to a Bees Game and watched the fireworks-we a blast with the two!!!

A weekend of travel

The first weekend in June we went down for a boating trip with some friends in St. George-we ended up going down late and ended up going to the Aquatic center with the Burghardts- Logan and Nathan had a blast as always. Then we went to see Kung Fu Panda and Logan was so animated he kept getting up during the movie and was talking to the screen "Bad Crash, there's a bird..." he would let everyone in the movie know what color each animal was-he was pretty funny.

Then the next day we had to pick up some things in Vegas for the crane company and then we headed home for a nights sleep.

The following day we headed out for Flaming Gorge in Wyoming for a little fishing trip. I was pretty lucky and caught a Salmon!!! Logan had fun on the boat.

Baby Room

I have 2 months to go!!! My sister flew out and helped me figure out what to do with the random ideas I had for Porter's room (the name we currenly are set on). We tried to stay with chocolate brown and white/cream and it turned out great. We used burlap for the walls some baseboard for molding and I lucked out and found awesome deals on furniture at my favorite place in the world DownEast Home ($350 for the crib-total deal). The white bedding (skirt and bumper) came from different Down East locations and they ended up matching perfectly. We used the extra set of knobs from the dresser for the wall-if anyone has ideas of what to hang on them let me know. And I am still working on making a shelf for the hutch. Now that the room is almost done maybe I can start preparing mentally for baby #2.
